Guest harbours | This old goods port has a newly renovated quay, lighting, power sockets and freshwater taps. Next to the boat club’s harbour, there is a countryside site for tents and caravans. The harbour area also has WCs, showers and a services block with cooker, refrigerator, freezer and microwave oven. They can be used in conjunction with the guest harbour.

The Gumbodafjärden bay is the approach for Gumbodahamn (harbour). There has been a mooring place for vessels at Klöven (the innermost reach of the bay) since time immemorial. Owing to glacio-isostatic uplift, the harbour site has moved several times. Towards the end of the 19th century, the quay acquired its present position.

There was sea transport here in the 20th century – primarily sawmill goods being shipped from the harbour. In the other direction, small cargo boats arrived with construction materials (e.g. cement). The last cargo boat carrying sawn timber goods sailed from the harbour in 1964.

Exactly opposite the present quay facility, there was, on the other side of the bay, Varvet (the shipyard). This was a hive of activity in the middle of the 19th century.
